That summer of 1890 golden wheat ears sunbathed the fertile fields of Slovenia. The harvest was rich. Stone mills were set in motion. Underneath them, the grain whitened and became powder. From that nourishing powder old parents’ busy hands made first bread.
Many summers later, in the year 1990, life long wish of two people was fulfilled. Since that summer, Anica and Tomaž Blatnik have built the Blatnik bakery with their hard work, zeal and perseverance. Stone by stone, grain by grain, dream by dream, success by success. With their mutual efforts, with the help of their family and the families of their numerous friends, they have succeeded to bake a piece of happiness for each home throughout this proud country.
This summer of 2009 golden wheat ears gilded again the fertile fields of Dobrepolje and awarded the big effort of two happy people.
Their bakery placed its new brand in its big swag of happiness.
